| Building design firm seeks an individual to guide the firms marketing program. The successful candidate must have the skill to develop the firms overall marketing plan and provide support in the procurement of new clients, retention of existing clients, research/find new proposal opportunities, manage and coordinate proposal preparation, and accurately input/maintain and retrieve historic client relationship data, project data, and experience.
The successful candidate will be initially engaged for six months. At that time, a decision will be made by the firm to part ways or continue full-time employment. Initially, the successful candidate will be performing required duties alone with sporadic help from the clerical staff. If and when economic conditions allow, an assistant will be provided. Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt to different communication styles.
- Ability to plan and execute marketing activities requiring indepedent judgement.
- Ability to work wihtin a fast-paced environment and manage multiple demands.
- Ability to manage expectations of demanding principals and technical staff.
- Be conscientious and flexible, with a strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
- Ability to establish effective work relationships will all levels of staff.
- Be willing to and possess the social skills to participate in "after hours" events alone and with firm members to advance the interests of the firm.
- Ability to develop professional and personal relationships with counterparts in other firms.
- Have experience in industry CRM software.
- Have an understanding of the building design and construction industry.
- Be willing to do what it takes whether its in the job description or not.
